I haven·t slept in 48 hours and I am feeling light and fine. Although I never really remember the lessons I have learned, I do have some new insights floating through my mind. Lesson number #1: Age is an illusion. Truth is you are only as old as you honestly feel, even if that differs from day to day. Being aware of that makes life so much lighter, as there is nothing to be afraid of when growing up or growing old. Lesson number #2: My friends are my world. I already knew that, but it's good to affirm from time to time. #3: Love is a burning thing. As much as I try to control whatever sentiment I may have, what goes around eventually comes around. It is not up to me to decide over lust, love or life. It takes two, a lot of hard work and sometimes good luck to match two longing souls. Time will tell. Time always does. (this is actually lifelesson #4). Lesson number #5: Enjoy the sunshine. It makes you feel warm, reborn and free. It soothes your nerves and it boosts your mood. But of course, don't forget to wear sunscreen.
